During the operation of a hotel, furniture is an indispensable part. The hotel has a lot of customers and it will encounter furniture dirt, traces, or breakage. It not only hinders the appearance but also affects the use.

The following are some simple maintenance methods:

1. Use a soft wool brush to remove the dust in the depressions or reliefs. Painted hotel furniture can be wiped with colorless furniture polish wax to enhance gloss and reduce dust.

2. Avoid direct sunlight on furniture. Exposure to high temperature will cause the interior and exterior of the furniture to have different dry and humidity levels and fine lines, which will warp the furniture for a long time and damage the original structure of the furniture.

3. Maintain indoor humidity and do not let the hotel furniture get wet. Usually use as little water as possible to clean the hotel furniture. You should only wipe it with a damp cloth with a clean water, and then wipe it with a dry cloth.

4. Rattan or bamboo furniture will accumulate for a long time. It can be scrubbed with brine to remove dirt and make it soft and tough.

5. When the hot cup is placed directly on the wooden furniture, there will be a circle of hot marks on the surface. You can use a cloth dipped in alcohol, toilet water, iodine, or strong tea to gently wipe the hot marks. Vaseline oil can be wiped with a rag every two days to remove the burn marks.

6. Take a clean cotton cloth, then dip it in wax solution and apply it gently on the scratched area. Wait for the wax to dry out and harden before applying it. It is recommended that you repeat it several times and the scratches will gradually disappear.

7. Burning materials such as fireworks, soot or unextinguished matches sometimes leave burn marks on the wooden painted surface of the home. If the paint surface is only burnt, you can wrap a hard cloth on the toothpick, gently wipe the traces, and then apply a layer of wax to remove the burn marks.

8. People often make tea on the coffee table. After a long time, it will leave a piece of stains. You can sprinkle some water on the table, wipe it with the tin foil in the cigarette case and then wipe it with water to remove the tea stains.

9. White furniture is easy to stain. It is difficult to wipe off the stains with a rag. You may wish to squeeze toothpaste on a clean rag. Just wipe it gently and the stains on the furniture will be removed. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the paint.

10. Cracks often appear on the hotel floor or wooden furniture. The old newspaper can be cut into pieces, add an appropriate amount of alum, cook with water or rice soup to make a paste, use a knife to embed it in the cracks and smooth it out. After drying, it will be very strong.
